Thanksgiving

Jake’s rugby mates from Greyfriars enjoyed a scrum in the back garden while the feast was being set on the table.New friends  First Thanksgiving in Scotland for most of us at the table, for our international group  helped us give thanks, and for that we are thankful too.  Linda roasted turkey and made her (now world-famous, literally!) butternut squash soup, cornbread and British-apple stuffing, and more.  New friends from university and church brought the rest of the feast (including pumpkin pie, chocloate cake, Scottish wedding cake, and much more) and represented Austrailia, Ecuador, Scotland and the States.  The only thing missing was football on the telly, but Jake’s buddies from school added a new and better tradition–rugby football in the back garden before dinner.
