Lighting up the (auld grey) Town

Dateline: St Andrews Day, St Andrews. (November 30, for you Yanks, is the day of Scotland’s patron saint. You know, the reason the flag bears the diagonal cross–that’s Andrew’s grim symbol of faith).
It was really cold this year, but dry. The town holds a festival of sorts in market square, and turns on the Christmas lights after it gets really dark, at 5:00 p.m. Then there’s a parade by the local pipes & drums, then a torch light procession from St Mary’s College (my school, the Divinity school) to the castle on the sea.
